getWETCITY goes to #FlyWorld

GWC got another chance to get our frequent flyer miles up with the #FlyWorld captain, Eight4Fly and found out what you gotta have packed before you take off

What is your favorite track off “Flight Eighty4”?

probably would either be “Pow Pow” or “Weed”

You put out a free verse, are there any other tracks that didn’t make the cut?

yeah i have alot of stuff that doesn’t make mixtapes… alot of experimental stuff & alot like the free verse ive probably did that like 10 times like recorded a verse and never came back to it smh

From your first project “1st Class in Fly World” to “Flight Eighty4” what has Eighty4Fly been doing?

Well the first project was “The Eighty4 Fly Project” EP but in between the two mixtapes i took somewhat of a break… i say somewhat because i had to get everything behind the scenes straightened out as far as direction beyond just making tapes & albums and releasing them

What is the must have in the studio?

honestly i like space i really don’t like a lot of people in there majority of the time its just me & Teal maybe a few family members here and there other than that its a catalog of beats a Ipad of lyrics & we go in…

How do you see your self fitting into the Seattle hip hop scene?

i cant really say when i came in it had been going for a while so im still kinda figuring my position in it all… i figure ill just keep doing what i can do to draw attention to my agenda & the seattle scene as a whole & if i end up being some type of major assistance to the scene as a whole that would be dope…

Are there any new projects in the works, when can we expect to see those coming out?

yes the next project will be a mixtape titled “#FlyWorld” and is already written… ill most likely begin recording early Nov and it will probably be done mid Nov we haven’t set a date for its release yet…

What do you judge your success by?

i get hype off little things like when someone recognizes me out of a crowd or just when people hit my pages & let me know they fuck with my music or got it playing right now… its really the simple things with me because ive had the privilege of seeing something go from my living room to a national level… seeing your ideas & art be appreciated is a pretty cool thing
